Career Services and Internship Program Coordinator 

Salary: $45,000-$55,000 | Status: Non-Exempt/Full-Time | Reports to: Executive Director

Position Summary: 

The Page Connections Career and Internship Services Coordinator supports the Page Connections program, which provides undergraduate college students with professional development and clear pathways to meaningful employment during and after graduation. This program includes key initiatives: College, Coffee, and Conversations (CCC) mentoring series, a professional mentoring program, Accelerate, which offers customized opportunities for students to engage with local Minnesota businesses through workshops, field trips, and internships, as well as employment opportunities with corporate and business partners who support their education, and our alumni outreach. By leveraging exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, the coordinator enhances the positive impact of the Page Education Foundation, fostering professional growth and success for its students.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and conduct workshops, seminars, and field trips with corporate and business partners ensuring all deliverables are met within the academic year.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current corporate partners and businesses while identifying and engaging new partners to expand Accelerate, internship, and employment opportunities for students and alumni.
  • Schedule and facilitate quarterly and annual meetings with Accelerate partners to plan and evaluate program outcomes.
  • Create, update, and refine the Accelerate program application and review process to meet partner expectations.
  • Assist in onboarding new Accelerate corporate and business partners.
  • Provide career advising to students and alumni on job searches, resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation, and career planning.
  • Recruit and cultivate professional mentors for the College, Coffee, and Conversations (CCC) mentoring series.
  • Update and manage the CCC mentor and mentee application process annually, matching participants and collecting data to assess impact.
  • Conduct virtual and in-person workshops, seminars, and presentations for students, alumni, and partners through Scholar to Success.
  • Collaborate with program staff to plan and execute events, such as award ceremonies, scholar seminar, orientation, and alumni gatherings.
  • Assist in developing and implementing program assessments and evaluations, ensuring goals and objectives are met.
  • Provide quarterly reports on program outcomes, including data and narratives on student experiences, barriers in higher education, and program impact.
  • Support the scholarship program application review process.
  • Maintain and update the database system, ensuring accurate data entry, storage, and retrieval to support program analysis and resource optimization.
  • Record program activities and student data, including attendance, grades, and case notes, into the database.
  • Oversee the migration of student data from online platforms to the database.
  • Represent the Foundation at community partner meetings, initiatives, and events.
  • Coordinate and schedule monthly campus visits to connect with students and engage with college faculty, staff, and services.
  • Improve and increase engagement platforms with students, including the Scholar Portal and social media.
  • Support the review and improvement of program policies and procedures.
  • Provide administrative assistance as needed, particularly in fundraising events such as the annual gala, seminars, and community walks.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (business, education, youth studies, student affairs and services, or related field).
  • 2+ year experience working in education setting serving students from diverse communities in career, internship, employment, student services, or related areas.
  • Hybrid-weekly schedule, minimum 3 days per week in the office, 2 days remote work from home.
  • Available for in-person events, work some weekends, and evenings.
  • Knowledge of CRM software and database management systems and/or possess digital literacy or confidence, the willingness to learn new technology and software.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and self-awareness skills, with the ability to lead confidently while also following directions and supporting team goals as needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Team-oriented personality embraces working with others and thrives in interdependent environments.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, event-heavy environment, with flexibility to support numerous events as part of the role.
  • Ability to take part in the set up and take down of events, and lift or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Available to travel, particularly to corporate campuses, and schools.
  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Experience working effectively in an intimate and collaborative team environment.

  • Experience with CRM Salesforce/Co-Pilot.
  • Experience with online platforms & software: Submittables, SurveyMonkey, Mailchimp, WordPress, AI online tools, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, X/formerly Twitter.

  • Understanding that this position entails 80 percent administrative and 20 percent direct student work.
