PAGE EDUCATION FOUNDATION
The Page Education Foundation is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization founded by Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee and former Justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court, Alan Page. Our mission is to encourage Minnesota students of color to pursue post-secondary education. For 29 years, we have provided financial support, in the form of Page Grants to students of color. In return for their awards, our recipients, known as Page Scholars, help develop positive attitudes about education among elementary and middle-school children by volunteering as a tutors and mentors in their communities.
WHY SPONSOR
Proceeds from this event directly benefit Page Scholars in the form of Page Grants, which range from $1,500-$2,500 annually. Your sponsorship is an investment in our community. When you sponsor the Page Education Foundation’s All Star Gala, not only do you provide financial support to help a Page Scholar overcome the financial barriers associated with higher education, you also provide a positive role model to a child in our community, reduce the student-to-adult ratio in our classrooms and public schools, and develop tomorrow’s leaders.
Since 1988, we have provided over 6,500 Page Grants totaling $12 million in financial support. These Page Scholars have volunteered over 420,000 hours serving our communities. For the 2015-2016 academic year we have selected 536 Page Scholars who will be awarded $900,000 in grants.
EVENT DETAILS
The 2016 All Star Gala will be the first community event at the U.S. Bank Stadium, new home of the Minnesota Vikings. The event begins at 7:00 pm with live music and entertainment in the Vikings Club. Guests will meet Alan Page, enjoy spectacular game-day food, and can take part in a silent auction featuring sports memorabilia, travel packages, and more. Individual tickets for this event are $150 and sponsorship begins at $1,500.
We pride ourselves in hosting one of the most diverse gala in the Twin Cities. Our attendees are an ethnically diverse, well educated, politically active crowd. The age range of attendees is 18-70+, which includes Page Scholars & alumni, individual donors, corporate sponsors, and community partners. We expect over 1,000 guests to attend this gala.
